A two-lock chest, Namban Art, wood, full black lacquer coating with gilt decoration and mother-of-pearl inlays "Landscapes with tigers, rooster and hen among flowers and various plants", friezes with tendrils, black lacquered interior with gilt decoration, scalloped, engraved and gilt copper mounts, nippo-portuguese - Momoyama period (1573-1615), restoration, minor defects, wear to the gilt, non-original side handles.
