Maria I, Queen of Portugal (1777-1816), wood covered with shark skin with gilt copper applications, interior lined in red velvet with gilt thread trimming and cutlery set for six people in 833/1000 silver, comprising soup spoons, knives and forks, ladle and tongs for sugar lumps and teaspoons, Portuguese, signs of use, some later cutlery from the 19th C. without marks pursuant to Decreto-Lei 120/2017, of 15 September - art. 2nd, no. 2, subparagraph c),, tablespoons, knives, forks and 3 teaspoons with Porto assay mark (1803-1810) and maker's mark attributable to Manuel José de Faria (1770-1803), 2 teaspoons with Évora assay mark (2nd half 18th century) and RMC maker's mark, 1 teaspoon with Guimarães assay mark (1834-1851) and IA maker's mark (?), tongs with Lisbon assay mark (1843-1870) and sugar ladle with Porto assay mark (1853-1855) and José Ferreira Guimarães maker's mark (1799-1842).
