Description
A pair of potted vases, faience, polychrome decoration "Landscape with house", Portuguese, 19th C. (2nd quarter), one with small chips, one with apparent trace of a mark. Notes: it was part of the exhibition "Um Olhar do Porto - Uma Colecção de Artes Decorativas", held at Quinta das Cruzes, 2005, and is reproduced in the respective catalogue. Funchal: Museu Quinta das Cruzes, 2005, p. 261, Nos. 172 and 174. See similar copies with identical decoration, identified as produced by the Miragaia Factory, were part of the António Espírito Santo Collection, and appeared in the exhibition "Faianças Portuguesas - Colecção António Espírito Santo", Ricardo do Espírito Santo Silva Foundation , Lisbon, 1998, and are represented in the respective catalogue, pp. 106-107, no. 80., Dim. - 18,8 cm
