Description
An oval compote dish, neoclassical, painted opaline glass probably from the Real Fábrica de Cristales de La Granja, polychrome decoration "Putti, fruits and flowers", gilt cover finial, Spanish, 19th C. (1st quarter), adapted gilt metal ring covering minor faults and defects, wear to the gilt. Notes: it was part of the exhibition "Um Olhar do Porto - Uma Colecção de Artes Decorativas", held at Quinta das Cruzes, 2005, and is reproduced in the respective catalogue.
