A quantity of assorted memorabilia relating to racing driver Peter Walker, relating to his Grand Prix, Le Mans and other race events and including, a cased sterling silver compact case, by Asprey, hallmarked, engraved to the lid 'To Mrs. P.D.C. Walker from Jaguar cars Ltd. in Appreciation of your contribution to the Jaguar victory Le Mans 1953'; a Mosda '500' lighter/cigarette case; a small glazed ceramic souvenir model of an open race car marked '24 Heures du Mans' and numbered 14; some framed photographs depicting Peter Walker race scenes including, ERA at Donington Park 1936 by Klemantaski, Jaguar C-Type Le Mans 1951, a coloured photo print of Peter Walker in Delage, and other mainly loose photographs at various 1950s race events including Le Mans depicting Jaguar, and other early childhood and school sports photographs; race programmes for Le Mans 1951, 1952 and 1954, Castle Combe 1952 and a 1954 BRDC annual dinner programme; and a Bugatti Owners Club Prescott Hill Climb Official's armband; offered together with a quantity of assorted ephemera including period and later motoring magazines, including Autosport and The Motor, journals, press cuttings and other ephemera. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
