A Prattware cow creamer and cover, circa 1800-15 Modelled standing, her recumbent calf on the shaped base below, both animals picked out in sponged ochre and manganese, the base washed in green and edged in dark brown, 17.5cm long (2) Footnotes: Provenance Graham Slater Collection The thin, shaped base and sponged decoration is characteristic of animal models produced at the St Anthony Pottery in Newcastle upon Tyne, later named Sewell & Donkin.
