Description
Three English delftware apothecary or pharmacy pots, 17th and 18th century Comprising an early London small ointment pot of squat form, banded in blue and ochre, 5.6cm high, another of albarello shape, made at Southwark or Rotherhithe, with an arcaded pattern, 6.5cm high and a later cylindrical pot, possibly Mortlake, with blue concentric lines, 6.7cm high (3) Footnotes: Provenance With Garry Atkins, 2006 (first-mentioned) Graham Slater Collection The two earlier pots are in excavated condition, the squat example noted as having been found in Cheapside. Apothecaries would use these small vessels for dispensing. Similar examples are discussed by Michael Archer, Delftware (1997), pp.377-384. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
