A bayonet with molded brass handle with scale grip and embossed cannon, marked 'G.G.S.' and '21'; the double-edge blade marked on one side of the ricasso 'U.S.N./G.G.S./1870' and on the other side 'AMES MFG CO/CHICOPEE'; with black leather scabbard marked '33' and with brass throat and tip.
