2000 BMW 125cc C1 Frame no. WB10191AXYYA07933 Engine no. unable to locate Please kindly note that this motorbike will be available for viewing by prior appointment in Dortmund: please contact eva.lengler@bonhams.com for booking. 'Designed by BMW to combine car-like safety and comfort with the speed and manoeuvrability of a motorcycle, it is poised to become the latest 'must have' item.' - Evening Standard. BMW's 21st Century take on the concept of the ideal urban motorcycle, the unique semi-enclosed C1 was introduced in 2000. Designed to appeal to the non-enthusiast market, more interested in beating traffic congestion while remaining dry and comfortable than getting its knee down on roundabouts, the C1 is powered by a water-cooled four-stroke single and equipped with continuously variable 'automatic' transmission. The front suspension is of the Telelever type found on BMW's large-capacity twin-cylinder roadsters and there are disc brakes on both wheels. Top speed is 62mph. This example comes with German paperwork including a Fahrzeugbrief ( registration document). The machine's mechanical condition is not known (we have been unable to check whether or not the engine turns over). Offered with key Footnotes: Please kindly note that VAT at the prevailing german rate (currently 19%) will be added to the buyer's premium which will be invoiced on a VAT exclusive basis. If you are planning to export, please make the department aware. Lot to be sold without reserve.
