He particularly liked to draw trees, ancient temples and shrines, as well as houses of the old days. His paintings are natural and elegant, his style is cautious, thoughtful, meticulous, soft, and gentle. It is even somewhat restrained when it comes to expressing small details, but implicitly, without compromising the vitality and richness of the emotional aspect. His paintings are characterised by thin but bold brushstrokes and an insipid but subtle colour palette.
