Glenfiddich Vintage Reserve 35 Year Old 1961 Distilled and bottled by William Grant & Sons Ltd. Cask #9015. Bottle No. 112. In original wooden presentation case. Good labelling. Filled to 70cl. Single malt, 43.2 abv 1 bottle Footnotes: Tasting notes from the producer Colour: Greeny-gold Nose: Astonishingly fragrant. A gentle emergence of aromas: pine needles, cypress, box trees, grass, peat, very faint smokiness. Palate: Delicately creamy. At first, the dominant taste is reminiscent of white chocolate. The vanilla notes from the oak are very restrained. Then comes bitter chocolate, a suggestion of ripe bananas and chopped almonds. Finish: Becomes much less sweet. Orange zest, lemon fudge, coconut, and then a toasty dryness. Very deftly balanced.
