Mahogany Wall Clock with Alarm Bell ELNATHAN TABER (1768-1854), Roxbury, Massachusetts, c. 1805 Elongated coffin-form case with top and bottom panels blind-dovetailed to sides, surmounted by cut-out pediment centering a molded finial plinth, over the single-board door containing glazed apertures for the dial and pendulum, and a simple fascia molding applied to base; the door opening on two brass hinges over a mahogany panel lining the dial and drilled at proper right edge to receive winding arbor for the alarm mechanism, whose bell is partially enclosed on the exterior by an iron cover, this behind enamel-painted sheet iron dial fitted with three blued steel hands, set inside a conforming pine frame enclosing the steel pendulum rod and terminating in a weight baffle at the bottom, which has a steel cover inscribed 'Warranted Elnathan Taber / Union Street Roxbury' on black enamel surface, includes two weights for clockworks and alarm bell, pendulum, turned wooden finial, and wall-mounting screws, including finial, 22cm wide, 7cm deep, 86cm high (9 1/2in wide, 3 3/4in deep, 34 1/4in high). Buyers' Premium and Charges

28% on the first $50,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $50,000 up to and including $1,000,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of $1,000,000 up to and including $6,000,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of $6,000,000.
A 3rd-party bidding platform fee (the "3rd-party bidding platform fee") equal to 4% of THE BID PRICE shall be payable by buyers whose successful bid is submitted via 3rd-party bidding platforms, including Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
