Celine x Cate Blanchett (born 1969) and her Son Dashiell (born 2001) A One-of-a-Kind Poulbot Bag, 2004 White canvas and tan leather bag, customised by Cate Blanchett and her son Dashiell with red pen, glitter glue and appliqué magazine cut-out of a mouth 30cm wide, 16cm high, 15cm handle drop, includes certificate of authenticity signed by Cate Blanchett and Carmen Haid, head of communications at Celine, auction catalogue and dust bag Footnotes: Created for Celine's charity auction on the 18th February 2004, to raise money for the NSPCC (the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children). The auction featured 15 Poulbot bags by Celine, that have been customised by celebrities and their children, including Claudia Schiffer and her son Casper, David Bailey and his son Fenton, Yasmin le Bon and her daughter Tallulah Pine, and HM Queen Rania of Jordan and her children HRH Prince Hussein, HRH Princess Iman and HRH Princess Salma. According to the accompanying brochure: 'Celine's Poulbot bag was inspired by Francisque Poulbot, a French illustrator who depicted the street kids to reveal the countries consciousness. In this spirit, we have 15 celebrities who have generously created unique one of a kind artwork' This bag was the first lot of the charity auction. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
