Allen Jones R.A. (born 1937) Dancing Couple, 2014 signed and dated in black ink underneath the base, a rare example from the signed Maker's Edition of four, aside from the standard edition of 50 hand-painted brass multiple with a Corian base Height 44.2cm (16 3/4in). Produced for the Royal Academy, housed within the original wooden and Perspex presentation box Footnotes: Provenance Gifted by the artist to the makers at the design studio 'Commissioned by You', London. This work is accompanied by the certificate of authenticity issued by the Royal Academy of Arts, London, signed, dated and inscribed 'Maker's Edition | 1 of 4' in red ink. This multiple was produced in collaboration with the Lola Lely Studio for the Allen Jones retrospective exhibition, held at the Royal Academy in London 13 November 2014 - 25 January 2015. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
