A finely turned bilboquet The ball resting on a turned tapering handle, together with a turned and carved 'rook' shaped dice shaker or spill vase, a miniature condiment set with one vessel missing, and a dolls house, centre table and solitaire board, the board 23cm diameter, the dice shaker 15.9cm high, the table 13.5cm high (5) Footnotes: Henry III of France made the game of Bilboquet popular in the 16th century and in the following years it continued to be played by children. The object of the game is quite simple but difficult to master! The ball being tossed into the air and being caught by the cup.
