An early 19th century turned tapering wig powdering 'carrot' Of typical tapering ringed form, together with a wig stand and ring gauge. 26.5cm long and 25cm long respectively (2) Footnotes: Wig powdering carrots are rare objects -they can be found in a number of satirical prints of aristocrats at their toilette. The tube would be filled with power and to one end (the 'stalk end) there must have been a squeeze bulb -sadly no examples of these survive.
