A German 17th century walnut, fruitwood, ebonised, ash, chequer inlaid and marquetry cabinet on a later stand, the stand possibly early 18th century The cavetto cornice above a pair of doors inlaid with two opposing cavalrymen, each seated upon a rearing horse and holding a sword aloft, within a chequered surround, encompassed by four inlaid strapwork cartouches within a chequer border, each door inlaid with scrolled floral and foliate strapwork to the reverse, enclosing twelve beaded panelled drawers inlaid with similar strapwork, stylised foliage, opposing griffin busts and flowers, encompassing a central door, on four ring turned baluster legs, with plain stretchers, approximately: 103cm wide x 45cm deep x 134cm high, (40 1/2in wide x 17 1/2in deep x 52 1/2in high) This lot is subject to the following lot symbols: TP TP For auctions held in Scotland: Lots will be moved to an offsite storage location (Constantine, Constantine House, North Caldeen Road, Coatbridge ML5 4EF, Scotland, UK) and will only be available for collection from this location at the date stated in the catalogue.
