A Cased 54-Bore Percussion Double-Action Five-Shot 'Wedge-Frame' Revolver Of Webley Type Retailed By William Dooley, Liverpool, No. 2746, Mid-19th Century With octagonal sighted barrel retaining traces of original blueing, engraved around the muzzle and with foliate scrollwork along the flats in front of the border engraved top-strap, the latter engraved with retailer's details in capitals, cylinder numbered from '1' to '5', border engraved frame, trigger-guard and butt all decorated with foliate scrollwork, the first engraved 'PATENT NO. 2746' on one side, rammer with sprung side-catch, and chequered figured rounded grips: in original lined and fitted mahogany case with accessories including Bartram & Co. powder-flask with split-ring for suspension, and brass bullet-mould, the interior of the lid with retailer's illustrated trade label (minor damage), the exterior with shield-shaped vacant brass escutcheon, Birmingham proof marks 15.3 cm. barrel Footnotes: For a very similar example formerly in the J.B. Buyers' Premium and Charges

Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
