Publisher's blue cloth, stamped in orange, pictorial dust jacket, with The Clue of the Tapping Heels listed at bottom of front flap. minor chipping to edges and corners of jacket, closed tears to the folds. Provenance: Harriet Reeser, 'from Gladys L. Bowers, Christmas (1939)' (contemporary pencil inscription to endpaper). 2. The Clue in the Diary. New York: Grosset & Dunlap, c.1932 [1935]. Publisher's cloth, pictorial dust jacket, with The Message in the Hollow Oak listed at the bottom of the front flap. Minor chipping to spine ends and corners of jacket, jacket split at front joint, nearly detached. EARLY PRINTINGS WITH JACKETS, SIGNED BY THE AUTHOR on the title page ('Mildred A.
