Folio (14 x 11 in.), 7 vols., cloth-covered boards with calf spines, containing lithographs and chromolithographs of architectural subjects, plus approximately 280 individual prints from the series each in its own archival plastic sleeve. Covers worn and in some cases detached, prints in good condition, most in the books with tissue guards, covers have library stamps. This architectural publication's subtitle is translated, 'A collection of country houses, villas, rural buildings, garden houses, garden ornaments, railings, bay windows, balconies, flowers, windows, wells, fountains, outbuildings, boundary walls, candelabra, grave monuments and other small buildings, for the beautification of building structures which are used, and in Berlin, Potsdam, and other places.' The architects represented include Ferdinand von Arnim, Ludwig Persius, Friedrich August Stüler, Carl Schwatlo, Martin Gropius, and Ludwig Ferdinand Hesse.
