A group of Chinese ceramics 17th to 19th century Comprising two large famille rose bowls, each rising from a splayed foot to rounded sides, decorated overall with peonies of various colours borne on leafy branches, all below a band of gilt-decorated interlocking cash coins, a flower amidst scrolling foliage in the well, an armorial dish bordered by sprigs of Buddhist finger citrons and flowers, a rare 'otter' dish painted en grisaille within an enamelled blue border, and a Swatow charger with a central roundel enclosing stems and branches from traditional Chinese time-keeping system, the cavetto painted with alternating flower roundels and birds. The widest, 38.2cm wide (5) Footnotes: The otter dish was based on an engraving from the rare 'English Encyclopaedia' made for George Kearsley in London in 1802.
