An Italian patinated bronze figural group of Venus and Cupid Probably late 17th/early 18th century, the model in the manner of Giambologna, called Giovanni da Bologna or Jean Boulogne (Italian, 1529-1608) and Giovanni Francesco (Gianfrancesco) Susini (Italian, 1585-1653) The nude goddess with one leg supported on a pedestal or stool, the figure of Cupid standing beside her wrapping his hand around her right forearm, the whole raised on square rouge marble base and sienna marble swept square plinth, 22.8cm high, 10.3cm wide, 10.5cm deep overall For further information on this lot please visit Bonhams.com For further information about this lot please visit the lot listing
