A COLLECTION OF TEN INK CAKES 19th/20th century Comprising: a rectangular ink cake carved to one side with a three-character inscription above a carp in a lotus pond, the other side with a riverside landscape; a pair of circular ink cakes, one side carved with a raised boss surrounded by three auspicious animals flying amidst clouds, the other side with a garden scene; a fan-shaped ink cake carved to one side with nine dragons amidst clouds, the other side with a long inscription; an octagonal-shaped ink cake, one side carved with a garden scene, the other with an three-character inscription flanked by a pair of dragons; a stele-shaped ink cake, one side with Princess Pingyang holding a flag which the other with an inscription acclaiming her achievement; a pair of ovoid shaped ink cakes, each with a raised edge adorned with five dragons flying towards a seated luohan figure; a ink cake in the shape of scrolls tied with ribbons, carved with inscriptions; a rectangular ink cake carved to one side with a scene of boys at play and performing dragon dance, the other side with a three-character inscription. Buyers' Premium and Charges
For all Sales categories, buyer's premium excluding Cars, Motorbikes, Wine, Whisky and Coin & Medal sales, will be as follows:
Buyer's Premium Rates
28% on the first £40,000 of the hammer price;
27% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £40,000 up to and including £800,000;
21% of the hammer price of amounts in excess of £800,000 up to and including £4,500,000;
and 14.5% of the hammer price of any amounts in excess of £4,500,000.
A 3rd party bidding platform fee of 4% of the Hammer Price for Buyers using the following bidding platforms will be added to the invoices of successful Buyers for auctions starting on or after 6th July 2024 – Invaluable; Live Auctioneers; The Saleroom; Lot-tissimo.
VAT at the current rate of 20% will be added to the Buyer's Premium and charges excluding Artists Resale Right.
