Throughout the company's many iterations over the past few centuries they produced marine chronometers, complicated pocket watches, and into the 20th century produced more elegant, less complicated pieces before delving into mid-century dress watches. The present lot is a fine example of a complicated watch from the second half of the 1800s, and alongside its well crafted movement is a distinctively designed dial with a 1/5 foudroyante and other registers in a triangular setup.
