(13 1/2 x 18 1/2 in.) marked with Keyes insignia and initialled 'VB' (to the underside) Footnotes: Provenance Edna Clarke Hall, thence by descent Private Collection, U.K. Edna Clarke Hall was a Slade School artist who attended the Bloomsbury Group's Friday Club. She was a contemporary of Gwen and Augustus John, Ida Nettleship, Ambrose McEvoy and Albert Rutherston, She now is best known for her many illustrations to Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights.
