Executed in 1918 Footnotes: Provenance With The Bloomsbury Workshop, London, where acquired by the present owner Private Collection, U.K. The present lot is a study for Grant's 1918 painting Interior (Collection of the Ulster Museum, Belfast), which depicts Vanessa Bell to the left and David Garnett to the right. It also includes an additional unidentified seated figure in the central window, and is the only known study to include this figure.
