Rémy Martin 1875 E. Rémy Martin & Co. Driven cork. Front labelling foxed and rubbed with minor stains. Shoulder label foxed with minor damages. Level: mid shoulder. Cognac, no spirit strength or capacity stated on labelling. 1 bottle Footnotes: Rémy Martin Cognacs bearing a vintage are an absolute rarity. This is an incredibly old and rare vintage, as it was distilled in 1875, precisely when the Phylloxera crisis devastated the region of Cognac, destroying the majority of their vineyards. Phylloxera is an insect of the hemiptera family and one of its species, Phylloxera Vastatrix, attacks grapevines and sucks the sap from their roots, doing irreparable damage to the plant.
