Microscopy.- A collection of approximately 200 trade catalogues and ephemera relating to microscopes and other scientific instruments, including those of the firms of Carl Zeiss of Jena, E.Leitz of Wetzlar and W.Watson & Sons Ltd. of London, and including an engraving of a section of the Opake Solar Microscope, 1770, an A.L.s. from one Blunt (?) of Tavistock, Oct. 21. 1816, describing a telescope he has supplied with accompanying small drawings, and a 4pp. 4to MS. of c.1800 describing a "Camera Lucida with the mirror and prism", most original printed wrappers, small hole in the MS with loss of 2 words only, most late 19th-early 20th centuries, v.s.
