Cailly, Paris, a bronze and ormolu mantel clock having an eight-day duration movement striking the hours and half-hours on a bell, with an outside countwheel and silk suspension, the silvered dial having black Roman numerals and blued steel moon hands, the bronze case in the form of a rocky outcrop, with a figure of a minstrel playing a lute seated above, the base with an ormolu acanthus leaf moulded decoration to the edge and an applied classical moulding to the front, all standing on decorative winged feet, height: 38.5cm.
