A documentary Donyatt pottery puzzle jug of typical ‘bellied’ form, the neck pierced with holes and a cross motif beneath a single spout, the body sgraffito decorated with panels of simple tulip-like blooms and naive birds, inscribed beneath the spout ‘C & H 1834’ reserved on a yellow, green flecked ground, 15 cm high, some small areas of glaze loss.
