Musical Automaton Clown Playing Lute by Vichy, c. 1900 With character head modeled as a smiling man with upturned nose, brown glass eyes and articulated eyelids (without leather), seated on the back of a chair containing two-air going-barrel movement driving four cams that cause figure to turn and nod his head, blink, strum and lift and cross his right leg, in sequined black and gold satin costume decorated with musical motifs, height 23 in. (58 cm), (professionally redressed in antique fabrics to an original pattern), with Vichy key and "acorn" stop/start. - A beautifully modeled automaton by Vichy, in good working order.

Musik-Puppenautomat "Lautespielender Clown" von Vichy, um 1900 Charakterkopf, fein modelliert als lächelnder Mann mit Stupsnase, mit braunen Glasaugen und beweglichen Augenlidern (ohne Leder). Die Figur sitzt auf der Lehne eines Stuhls, in dem sich das Federwerk für das Walzenspielwerk (2 Melodien) und die Bewegungen befindet. Im mit Pailletten besetzten schwarz-goldenem Satin-Kostüm, dekoriert mit musikalischen Motiven (Kleidung mit alten Stoffen nach Originalmuster professionell ergänzt), Höhe 58 cm, mit Vichy-Schlüssel und eichelförmigem Starthebel. - Der Clown dreht seinen Kopf und nickt, blinzelt mit den Augen, zupft die Laute und hebt sein rechtes Bein an. Ein ausdrucksstarker Vichy-Automat in gut funktionierendem Zustand.
