A CARVED BAROQUE CHEST / 1632, Germany
This richly carved chest is symmetrically decorated with two relief panels on the front: the left with a scene from the birth of Christ and the adoration of the shepherds, the left with a motif of the circumcision of Christ in the temple. The panels are divided by carved caryatids with stylized voluted cartouches. ANO 1632 inscribed in the upper strip. The sides are decorated with floral motifs and furnished with wrought iron handles. Obtained from Prof. Dobroslav Líbal collection. Oak, wrought iron. (57 x 104 x 58 cm)

Diese, mit reichen Schnitzereien verzierte Truhe ist an der Stirnseite symmetrisch mit zwei Reliefpaneelen verziert. Das Thema der linken Seite ist die Geburt Christi und die Verehrung durch die Schäfer, die rechte Seite zeigt die Beschneidung Christi im Tempel. Die Platten sind durch geschnitzte Karyatiden mit stilisierten Volutenzierrahmen getrennt. In der oberen Leiste findet sich die Inschrift ANO 1632. Die Seiten sind mit floralen Motiven verziert und mit Griffen aus Schmiedeeisen versehen. Eichenholz, Schmiedeeisen. (57 x 104 x 58 cm)

We will also auction works by present artists such as Karel Malich and Jan Saudek.
From the field of furniture we will represent Italian baroque, Czech cubism in the form of several items by Gočár, and also art deco with a glass case made by architect Mašek.
