This small relief was created based on František Kupka's design for the cover of the illustrated French satire magazine L'Assiette au Beurre. The author of the relief is craft metal founder and chaser Karel Pešan, the brother of sculptor and carver Damian Pešan. Both brothers significantly contributed to decorating Josip Pleènik's Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Our Lord. Stained wood, patinated and polished copper, marked "K.Pešan" on lower left. We will also auction works by present artists such as Karel Malich and Jan Saudek.
From the field of furniture we will represent Italian baroque, Czech cubism in the form of several items by Gočár, and also art deco with a glass case made by architect Mašek.
