HANS VON AACHEN (1552-1615) - WORKSHOP: THE HOLY FAMILY WITH ST. ANNE AND TWO ANGELS / After 1600, Bohemia, Prague
The painting was created based on an engraving by Aegidius Sadeler (see Hollstein/Sadeler 79, Hollstein/Aachen 37). Hans von Aachen's original is lost, but there are a number of engraved reproductions of Sadeler's original engraving (Crispijn de Passe, Cornelis Passe, Domenicus Custos, etc.) and a number of painted copies of various sizes.
The original plate was in the inventory of Rudolf II's Kunstkammer. The typology of the faces, figures and carnation allow us to ascribe the work to the workshop of Hans von Aachen. Oil on copper. (27 x 21 cm)

Das Bild beruht auf einer Radierung von Aegidius Sadeler (siehe Hollstein/Sadeler 79, Hollstein/Aachen 37). Der Verbleib des Originals von Hans von Aachens ist nicht bekannt, es existiert allerdings eine Reihe von Reproduktionen von Sadelers Originalradierung (Crispijn de Passe, Cornelis Passe, Domenicus Custos u.a.m.), und auch eine Reihe gemalter Kopien in verschiedenen Größen. Die Originalplatte war im Inventar der Kunstkammer von Rudolf II. Anhand der Formentypologie, der Figuren und der Gartennelke lässt sich das Werk dem Umfeld der Werkstätte von Hans von Aachen zuschreiben. Öl auf Kupfer. (27 x 21 cm)

From the field of furniture we will represent Italian baroque, Czech cubism in the form of several items by Gočár, and also art deco with a glass case made by architect Mašek.
