RUSSIAN HUNTING KNIFE / 2nd half of 18th century, Russia, Tula
Single-edged, curved blade, decorated with engraved ornaments, inscription „ТУЛА“ (TULA) on outside, horn grip, gilded brass hilt, eagle´s head-shaped pommel, S-shaped crossguard ended with animals’ heads, eagle-shaped counterguard, black leather scabbard with gilded brass chape, small Genicker knife, length 569 mm.

Gebogene, einschneidige Klinge, im oberen Teil beidseitig mit Gravuren verziert, an der Außenseite mit ‘ТУЛА‘ (TULA) gekennzeichnet, Handgriff aus Horn, Schwertgriff Messing vergoldet, am Ende mit einem Adlerkopf bestückt, S-förmige Parierstange, an deren Enden Tierköpfe sitzen, äußeres Schutzblatt in Form eines Adlers, Messerscheide aus Leder mit eingeprägtem linearem Ornament, vergoldete Messingbeschläge, an der Außenseite Fach mit kleinerem Messer, Länge 569 mm.

For our auction, we have carefully selected a varieaty of exceptional artistic works, antiquities and design.
You can look forward to the early work "BETWEEN SUNFLOWERS" by Otakar Kubín, interesting collectors acquisitions from Václav Brožík, Jan Preisler or Antonín Slavíček, Vlaho Bukovac, Josef Šíma, Václav Radimský, Franz Metzner or Jan Bauch. We will also auction works by present artists such as Karel Malich and Jan Saudek.
From the field of furniture we will represent Italian baroque, Czech cubism in the form of several items by Gočár, and also art deco with a glass case made by architect Mašek.
There will be certainly available many other surprising items that will touch and excite any collector.
