QUADRILATERAL HORIZONTAL TABLE CLOCK, Second half of 17th century, southern Germany

Silver case, fire gilded, engraved sides, cast silver feet with figurative motifs. Fire-gilded dial features corner engravings, numerous indicators of the months, date, lunar calendar and phase of the moon, thin silver ring with names of the months in Latin, I - IIII show quarter hours, numerals 5 - 60 show minutes, after these numerals 1 - 30 show the date and the last 1 - 28.5 show the lunar calendar. Cut-out disc showing the phase of the moon is decorated with allegories of peace and calm, depicted as a fisherman, love depicted as lovers and a castle in the background as security. Iron hands, clockwork - fire-gilded plates, brass wheels, verge escapement with balance screw from the mainspring to balance the spring tension, hourly chime with locking wheel on the bell located in the lower case cover. Unmarked.
