GEORG HJERSING HOST (1734-1794), NEWS FROM MOROCCO, 1781, Denmark (Copenhagen)

Original binding, paperboard cover covered with grey paste paper, printed on handmade paper. Published by Christian Gottlob Proft (1736-1793). One of the first descriptions of northern Africa, originally published in Danish in 1779 and soon translated into German and published with the same inserts in 1781. Frontispiece is a copper engraving with the author`s portrait; contains 34 folded copper engraving inserts. Complete, well-preserved, very good condition.
