Macedonia, Amphipolis, ca. 158 to 150 BCE. Tetradrachm set in stunning 18 karat gold bezel/pendant with each of the solar elements along the rim finished in gold bezel. Coin itself with Macedonian shield at center and Artemis depicted with bow and quiver at her shoulder. Size: 16.7 grams, 1-1/2" in diameter including bezel; coin itself measures 30mm in diameter.
