Greece, Geometric Period, ca second half of 8th century BCE. Standing bird in cast bronze with pointed beak, long flat tail, rotund body, two thin legs below and two circular openings on opposing sides and loop bale on top.. Lovely deep green and brown patina. Custom stand. Size: 3-1/4" (8.25 cm) L.
Provenance: Ex-private New York, NY collection acquired in 1985; ex-private Richard Wagner collection, Cape Cod, MA, acquired 1970's.
