Parthian, 2nd century CE. A bronze cast rendering of a priestess wearing an attribute headpiece, chiton and necklace. She holds wreath in her left hand and raises her right. She stands upon and integrally cast tripodal platform. Very expressive visage and rich patina! A rare type, apparently unpublished, most probably of eastern Mediterranean origin. Size: 11-1/8" H (28.5 cm).
Provenance: Ex-private French collection.
