Original vintage advertising poster for an exhibition of artwork by Victor Emile Prouve (1858-1943) - Expositions d'Art Lorrain / Lorraine Art Exhibitions. Design features a man holding a paint pallet standing next to a child reading a book and a man holding a vase with a smoking chimney in the background. Victor Prouve was a French painter, sculptor and engraver of the Art Nouveau Ecole de Nancy. Large size. Poor condition, tears, creasing, paper losses, staining, repainted paper losses, stamp and ink stamp on top right corner, backed on old linen, but with party's of poster coming loose from linen. Country of issue: France, designer: Victor Émile Prouvé, size (cm): 124x84, year of printing: 1910s.
