Set of 7 original vintage art related posters and prints. 1. Coral And Blue by Tseng Ying Pang (Chinese, b. Tokyo, Japan 1916-1977), featuring an image of coral red blooming tree branches and green and white grass on a blue background. Good condition, creasing, pinholes, staining, paper loss in top left corner. Country of issue: USA, designer: Tseng Ying Pang, size (cm): 51x38, year of printing: 1971; 2. Lampiao No Inferno by Jo Oliveira (b.1944), a Brazilian journalist and illustrator. The print depicts Captain Virgulino Ferreira da Silva (1897-1938), better known as Lampiao, with possibly Maria Bonita riding on horseback with a split image of the sun and the moon with angels and demons on either side. Lampiao was a traditional bandit from the Cangaco band, who were heavily armed and operated either on horseback or on foot. The band attacked small towns and farms, took hostages for ransom, extorted money by threats of violence, tortured, fire-branded, and maimed. Good condition, creasing, staining, small tears, title, artist and year printed on reverse. Country of issue: Brazil, designer: Jo Oliveira, size (cm): 31x46, year of printing: 1975; 3. Lampiao Roubando A Mulher Rendeira / Lampiao Stealing the Lacemaker's Wife by Jo Oliveira (b.1944), a Brazilian journalist and illustrator. The print depicts Captain Virgulino Ferreira da Silva (1897-1938), better known as Lampiao, with Maria Bonita fighting the beasts. Lampiao and Maria Bonita were traditional bandits from the Cangaco band, who were heavily armed and operated either on horseback or on foot. The band attacked small towns and farms, took hostages for ransom, extorted money by threats of violence, tortured, fire-branded, and maimed. Horizontal. Good condition, creasing, staining, title, artist and year printed on reverse. Country of issue: Brazil, designer: Jo Oliveira, size (cm): 46x31, year of printing: 1975; 4. The Fight Between the Jaguar and the Snake / A briga da onca coma serpente by Jose Francisco Borges (1935-2024), a Brazilian folk poet and woodcut artist. The print depicts a jaguar and a legged snake in a fight showing sharp teeth with birds and a monkey around them. Fair condition, creasing, tears. Country of issue: Brazil, designer: J Borges, size (cm): 65x47.5, year of printing: 1992; 5. Manuscripts of the Metropolitan Library of the St Vitus Chapter exhibition at the Prague Castle from 26 September to 5 November 1995, featuring a colourful image of saints with ornate floral patterns from the manuscripts set over a blue background. Very good condition, creasing. Country of issue: Czech, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 60x42, year of printing: 1995; 6. Scottish Drawings & Watercolours 1870-1970 Hunterian Art Gallery University of Glasgow 15 February - 16 April 1992, featuring artwork by George Henry titled A Japanese Pottery Seller from 1894, depicting a Japanese lady in a kimono with her hair tied up with hair pins sitting under an umbrella with pottery on the ground and more people in the background. George Henry (1858-1943) was a Scottish painter, a prominent representative of the Glasgow School, a circle of influential artists and designers in the 1870s until 1910s. Very good condition, minor creasing, minor staining. Country of issue: UK, designer: George Henry, size (cm): 60x42, year of printing: 1992; 7. Zufalle Einfalle / Coincidences Ideas by Rita Riedel that took place 23 April to 21 May 1995 at Pavillon des Rathauses Brackwede, featuring an illustration of two faces set over yellow background. Very good condition, bumps on edges, minor staining in top right corner. Country of issue: Germany, designer: Rita Riedel, size (cm): 60x35, year of printing: 1995.
