Set of original vintage magazine covers, artwork and other ephemera. 1. Magazine page from Punch / The London Charivari Summer Number originally issued June 15 1925 - Design features an advert for Gilbeys Spey-Royal Whiskey with an illustration of a man wearing a red coat and blowing a horn while riding a horse. The Royal Crest can be seen above with the name of H.M. King George V. On the reverse side is an advertisement for Colgate's Ribbon Dental cream with an illustration of a lady holding a mirror and a candle. Good condition, creasing, staining, tears, small paper losses on edges, pencil markings, double sided. Country of issue: UK, designer: Unknown, size (cm): 29x20, year of printing: 1925; 2. The Bystander publication originally released on April 2 1930 - Design features a double paged spread illustration titled Pillars of the Turf features smartly dressed men wearing top hats including racehorse owners Lord Derby, the Earl of Harewood, Lord Woolavington, Captain Cuttle, Lord Lonsdale, Mr Solly Joel and Captain R.E Sassoon. On the reverse side there is an illustration titled Springs Promise by Marjorie Miller featuring a lady wearing a yellow dress picking flowers alongside an advert for the Beatl Bowl. Good condition, folds, creasing, tears, staining, double sided. Country of issue: UK, designer: Mundo, size (cm): 30x41, year of printing: 1930; 3. Long John Scotch Whiskey - Design features the pirate Long John Silver with a parrot on his shoulder leaning his peg leg on a whiskey barrel on the beach as he holds up a glass of scotch with a pirate ship sailing in the background. Reverse side features a bottle of special reserve Long John Scotch Whiskey with a description of the alcholic drink beside it. Fair condition, folds, staining, creasing, tears, double sided.
