Description
Original vintage Italian elections propaganda poster issued by the Christian Democratic political party. The poster is featuring three articles - the first titled Il Popolo e' con noi 150 mila torinesi acclamano De Gasperi / The People are with us, 150,000 Turinese support De Gasperi. The text ask the voters to vote conscientiously, to elect confident democrat and a man who represents the Italian people. The text is illustrated with a photograph of a large crowd holding up the banner with Democrazia Cristiana emblem. The second article is titled Da una circolare comunista / From a communist circular. It features an excerpt on elimination of legalitarian conformism and a caricature of a boy on a light pole asking - Sei Senza Cervello? Vota Falce e Martello / Are you brainless? Rate hammer and sickle. and two boys holding up red hammer and sickle with bibs around their necks with text = Siamo Buoni and Tesoro di mamma / We are good mom's darlings. The third article is titled 80 Mila Bambini Greci Rapiti Dai Comunisti / 80 Thousand Greek Children Kidnapped By Communists. It tells a story of the leader of the communist rebels organising the kidnapping of 80 thousand children aged 3 to 14 and moving them behind the 'iron curtain' to be educated in Marxism and Bolshevik methodology. Founded in Nazi occupied Italy in 1943, the Democrazia Cristiana / Christian Democratic Party became the largest party in the Italian parliament until its dissolution in 1994 following corruption scandals.
