Original vintage travel poster advertising Tours to South Africa (at reduced return fares by mail vessel sailing 24 July 1931) and holiday tours to Madeira or Canary Islands, London to Antwerp, Rotterdam, Hamburg and back, by Union Castle Line, head office: 3 Fenchurch Street, London EC1. Text with an image at the top featuring a cruise ship with a flag flying on a rope between the top and bottom borders. Union Castle Line (1900-1977) was formed as the result of a merger between Union Line and Castle Shipping Line, operating passenger liners and cargo ships between Europe and Africa. Very good condition, repaired small loss on left margin and two small holes in image, backed on linen. Country of issue: UK, designer: Shephard, size (cm): 101.5x63.5, year of printing: 1930s.
