A Georgian oak longcase clock, the hood with ornate fret carved swan neck pediment centred by a gilt eagle-mounted finial and flanked by reeded pilasters, the glazed panelled door enclosing the square brass dial inscribed "Thomas Holme, Hexham", the silvered chapter ring with roman numerals and fitted seconds dial and date aperture, with eight day movement and striking on a single bell, 12.5in. wide, a single panelled door to the trunk, raised on a plinth base with later ogee bracket feet, 17in. x 85in. high.
