Rare Arundel Club London 1907 - Annual subscribers print collection(Part Set with 10 prints included). Fourth Year of Publication. Included are 2 x Unknown without dust jacket information sheets, No. 1 - Paul Van Somer 'Earl of Arundel', No. 5 unknown dust cover shows 'Reverse of Wings', *No. 6 - Jan Van Eyck 'Canon George Van Der Paele'(*damage), No. 7 - Velazquez 'Immaculate Conception', No. 9 - Filippino Lippi 'Chiron the Centaur', No. 15 - Unknown North Italian Painter, No. 17 - William Hogarth 'Mrs Desaguliers'(*Damage) and No. 19 - Unknown Portuguese 15th century. CONDITION - *No.17 and No.6 have scuffs and some foxing, the rest are generally excellent. The outer paper cover itinerary list is missing from this lot. Remnants of the outer card wallet. NOTES - From 1904 The Arundel Club did an annual series of reproductions taken from Old Masters paintings. Paintings mostly from private collections. Each year they produced around fifteen to twenty. Protective paper cover, printed titles and housed in paper folder detailing contents. Distributed to it's members. The Arundel Society Notes - Founded in London in 1849 and named after the Earl of Arundel, the famous collector of the Arundel Marbles. Originally the idea of the lawyer Bellenden Ker. The society was discontinued in 1897 and it would be seven years before the 'Club' was formed. Also known as "Arundel Society for Promoting the Knowledge of Art"
