The Life Adventures and Opinions of Colonel George Hanger, two volumes in one, New York edition, 1801, 206 pages (stained with some foxing, edges of spine worn, some further wear to edges of cover)

Colonel George Hanger, 4th Baron Coleraine (1751-1824) led an interesting and controversial life and was a close friend of the Prince of Wales (later George IV). The last page of the book bears the handwritten period inscription ‘obit March 31. 1824 / atab(?) 73’ which might suggest some connection between the original owner of the book and the author.
